Ride like an ANZAC!
Join us on the Anzacs Beersheba Battle annual commemorative Anzac mountain-bike ride.
This year we are honoured to have 14 Australian “Diggers” (UN Peace Keeping Force) based in the Sinai and a Fijian soldier join us.
The ride will be followed by a festive BBQ and good beer.
We will follow the trail used by the Australian and New Zealand soldiers in 1917, en-route to conquer the city of Beersheba from Ottoman Empire military forces, and open the road to Jerusalem for General Allenby’s British Army brigades.
This remarkable Route will take you from the ANZAC memorial site near Kibbutz Beeri, on the first day, through spectacular parts of the famed Beeri cycling single-track, along Nahal HaBsor and Eshkol Park.
The ride is supported by the Australian Embassy, Tel Aviv.
